Student - Teacher Relationships
James Comer said, "No significant learning takes place without a significant relationship." The importance of positive student - teacher relationships can not be overstated. Everyone needs to feel accepted and valued for who they are and encouraged to reach their full potential. Countless stories exist of students whose lives were changed by the caring influence of one (or more) teachers. This is often why those who enter the education profession do so: they want to make a difference in children's lives.
In my training, teachers will learn to:
*Better utilize both verbal and non-verbal communication strategies.
*Understand their classroom management profile.
*Develop ways to build rapport with students.
*Understand the value of Unconditional Positive Regard.
